SMore#: What are and how to set Technical Settings?

Technical settings are exposed to optimize the SMore# operations but usually need no adjustments. That means leaving those values unchanged is often best!

The settings in detail are:

Location Interval [min]:

Sets the interval (in minutes) after which SMore# will retrieve the car data again when tracking the location, as set on the dashboard screen. The default is 5 minutes to keep the load low on the Smart server but also on retrieving the map image for displaying the location.

HTTP Timeout [s]:

The value for a timeout when trying to reach the Smart servers. The default is 20s and should not need any change.

Climate Rate Control [s]:

Value for the interval to wait for a climate command to complete and before new commands are sent to the Smart server. The default is 5s. Sending too quickly will increase the likelihood for them to fail, while waiting longer increases the time for the user interface to complete the action.

Climate Wakeup Interval [s]:

Interval to wait for waking up the car for climate conditioning. This interval, by default 20s, is used when the car was asleep for more than 10 minutes. Waiting at that point is better for the car to wake up and accept a possible re-sending of the command, in case the original wakeup command failed.
