Synchronise

You can synchronise previous local AIRS recordings, stored in the internal SQLlite database of AIRS. Upon selecting the Sync menu in the local recording screen, a dialog box will be shown that presents the number of DB entries that have been read. AIRS creates temporary recording files that can then be shared via registered Android content providers (such as GMail, Bluetooth etc). The general settings allow for setting a maximum file size for each of these recording files. The synchronization keeps generating such files until all values have been captured since the last synchronization.

The Sync option stores the timestamp of synchronisation, if and only if at least one file was shared. Otherwise, no timestamp is stored (e.g., when pressing the Back button without any selection). At the next selection of the Sync tab in the main screen, the next files to be synchronised will be chosen based on the stored timestamp.

After the synchronization, e.g., via Bluetooth, has been started, close the synchronization dialog box with the Finish button. Pressing Cancel will neither store the timestamps for the synchronization nor remove the temporary files (this can come handy when things went wrong in the synchronization, e.g., due to a Bluetooth error). If the recording size will cause the generation of several files needing to be transferred, e.g., via Bluetooth, the sharing chooser will attempt several times as well!

NOTE: You can synchronise AIRS recording while a local AIRS recording is running with the recordings being synchronized up to the point of starting the currently running recording.
